This part is generated from a hand-written, print-tested OpenSCAD module — the same numbers always produce the same geometry. It is not an AI guess, and it does not cost a credit. Before a load-bearing or fit-critical print, check it against our design guide for wall thickness, overhangs and orientation.
Print notes for this part
- This is a printed lookalike, not a structural substitute for aluminium. The webs joining the corner posts to the core are under a millimetre thick, so use it for spacers, end caps, jigs and mock-ups — never to carry a load in a real frame.
- The slot mouth is 6.2 mm and opens into an 11 mm channel, so a standard 2020 M5 T-nut drops in and turns. The channel bottoms out 4 mm in rather than the 6 mm of a real extrusion, so a long nut may sit slightly proud of where you expect it.
- Print standing on end, exactly as it renders: the four slots then need no support at all, whereas lying it down puts two overhanging lips per slot straight over open air.
- Anything past about 150 mm is taller than it is stable — for long pieces print in sections and join them over a rod through the 4.2 mm centre bore.
